About the program...

The Pre-Teen America Scholarship and Recognition Program was founded in 1990 by Patricia Daniel of Baton Rouge, LA. The first Pre-Teen America state event (Pre-Teen Louisiana) was held in Baton Rouge in 1991.

Since its inception, over 100,000 bright and gifted young ladies have participated in the program nationwide and the program has awarded more than $1,500,000 in Educational Savings Bonds, Scholarships and Awards. In addition, the program has donated more than $425,000 to its past and present National Charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

Making new friends at Pre-Teen!

The Pre-Teen America Program is an event designed to recognize the nation’s outstanding Pre-Teens, as well as, to provide an avenue to promote high moral standards of excellence, fellowship, family values and social development. Participation in the program allows outstanding young ladies from across the nation to be recognized for their positive qualities and to be applauded for their superior commitment to excellence in learning and in character.

The program will select two individual winners who will prove to be truly exceptional in their individual age groups. In addition, each participant will be publicly recognized for her outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, the arts, knowledgeability, creativity, community service, personal development, communications and much, much more. The program ultimately rewards many young ladies nationwide with an opportunity to become the leaders of tomorrow and to provide an avenue in which they can truly make a difference in our world.

Another important function of the program is to promote positive social skills, such as god manners and proper etiquette, as well as, to make friends and pen pals and to create a new realization and awareness within themselves about their own special potential. With all of the negative media coverage that we hear and read on a daily basis in our world, the Pre-Teen America Program strives to provide hope, hope for families, our environment, our future and our nation.

The American Academy for Pre-Teen Achievers is comprised of a coalition of individuals who are dedicated to the recognition and promotion of Academic Achievements, Leadership Skills, Volunteer Efforts and Individual Triumphs and Successes of our Nation’s Outstanding Pre-Teens 7 to 12 years of age. The Academy is comprised of individuals from all walks of life including Educators, Administrators, Business Owners and Homemakers.
